3 - Set the Violation Type and Use Code

Violations are categorized using the Violation Type and the Use Code. The Violation Type is often a broad category, while the Use Code is a reference to a specific section of code that's being violated. Violation Types Use Codes

4 - Set the Deadline Date

The Deadline Date is the date by which the violation must be stopped. It is often used in a violation letter or notice to the property owner.

5 - Specify the Violation Location

Violations are tied to a specific property, but the exact location for a violation can be further identified on a map by clicking the Pencil button in the Location field. In addition, if the location has an address that's different from the property address, it can be edited in the Violation Location field.

6 - Create Inspections

Future inspections can be created to act as a reminder to inspect the violation to see if it has been resolved. Within the Violation window, go to the Inspections tab. Click the Plus button to add an inspection. Detailed Instructions
