Violations stored in CSDatum Permits can be given a number, in the same way that permits are. The number can be manually typed into the Violation Number field, or the automatic numbering system can be used.

Click the Magic Wand button to automatically apply the number to the violation.

There are several options for formatting the automatic numbers, and they are the same as those used for permit numbers. The options are discussed in detail in this article.
