Inspection Tasks are the various types of inspections that may be performed in Permit Manager. Inspections are most frequently used for Building Permit (UCC) inspections, but they can be used for any inspection on any permit, property, complaint, violation, or tenant space.

The list of inspection tasks can be customized to suit any type of inspection to be performed. Inspection tasks can be added or edited at Edit > Inspection Tasks.

This opens the Inspection Tasks window, showing a list of all the current Inspection Tasks and the type of permit, violation, property, etc. that they are associated with.

To open and edit an existing Inspection Task, double click that item in the list.

WARNING: Only make minor edits to existing Inspection Tasks. Any edits made will be applied to all inspections in the database with that Inspection Task.

WARNING: Do not delete existing Inspection Tasks. Deleting an Inspection Task will blank out that data for all inspections in the database with that Inspection Task. Use the Archive checkbox instead of deleting.

To create a new Inspection Task, click the Plus button.

Select the Inspection Type to specify what the inspection task will be for. It may be for a specific permit type or it may be for a property, violation, etc.

Create a name for the Inspection Task by typing within the text box. When finished, click Save.
