It's been a few months since I've written an update, so in this one, I'll run through some of the recent updates that we've made to the software. Many of these updates began as user requests, so keep the ideas coming. We love to hear your input and ideas.
Tuesday's Tips
Are you enjoying the snippets of info we provide in the Tuesday's Tips? A few users noted that there wasn't an easy way (really, there wasn't any way) to view previous tips. We collected several of the most recent tips and put them into a help article, which can be accessed any time.
File Uploads
We increased the maximum file upload size from 19 MB to 50 MB. If you have files larger than 50 MB you can either break them into multiple pieces, or contact us, and we can make other arrangements for upload.
Maps - Weekly Work Order Emails
We've been making upgrades to work orders within Maps for several months, and we continue to adjust, tweak, and improve. In the most recent change, we added an email sent once a week that summarizes: (1) Work orders from last week that were not finished, and (2) Work orders due this week. This article shows an example of the email.
Permits - Notification Enhancements
Notifications were updated so that all of the following show a high priority red bubble notification on the property: (1) Incidents, (2) Complaints, (3) Violations, and (4) Expired Permits. This article describes the details.
Permits - Add Multiple Inspections at Once
When creating a new permit, users can now add all required inspections at once by picking them from a list. Previously, each inspection had to be added individually. See this article for more.
Permits - Permit Number Updates
We made several updates to the automatic numbering feature for permits. These changes include: (1) Longer permit numbers up to 15 characters in length, (2) An option to automatically add a hyphen between the year and permit number, and (3) an option to supplement the permit number with a prefix or suffix up to 7 characters long. This article goes greater into depth.
