Schedule a Subsequent Inspection Reminder

After one inspection is performed, there is often another inspection that follows. A typical example is for Building Permits where, for example, a Rough Electrical inspection will be followed by a Final Electrical inspection.

Other times, one inspection is followed by the same type of inspection, but years in the future. An example here is the inspection of a rental unit every 3 years.

The Permits software provides a way to quickly schedule the next inspection from an open inspection. This provides a scheduled reminder of the next inspection to be performed.

If you haven't already set up the Inspection Reminders, see the article Inspection Reminders.

Begin from the current inspection from which you want to create the next inspection. Click Gear Icon > Create/Edit Inspection Reminder

This will create a new inspection record. The Task Performed will be pre-filled with the next task, and the date will set. Both are pre-set based on the setup preferences.

If either the Inspection Task or the Inspection Date need to be adjusted, they are fully editable. They are not locked in to the pre-set items.

Click Save when done.
