Permit Manager has several built-in standard reports that can be generated for the data in Permit Manager. These reports are generated in a PDF format for viewing or printing.
You can also create custom reports that produce data in a spreadsheet format for complete customization and control. You can read about custom reports in this article.
To access the built-in standard reports, begin from the Reports menu and choose one of the five reports shown in the screenshot below.
The various reports are as follows:
Bonds Expiring - Bonds associated with a permit or planning application that are expiring by a specified date. This report can be used to search for bonds that need to be renewed for ongoing projects or returned to the applicant for completed projects.
Permits Expiring - Permits that are expiring within a defined period of time. This report is used to search for permits that should be renewed for ongoing projects or finalized and closed out for completed projects. See this article for additional details.
Permits by Date Issued - All permits that were issued within a defined period of time. This report is most frequently used as a monthly report of permit activity provided to the governing body at their monthly meeting.
Violations Deadline - Violations with a deadline date within a defined period of time. This report is used to search for violations that should be inspected to see if the violation has been removed or abated.
Open Complaints - Complaints that have an open date or closed date within a defined period of time. This report is used to search for complaints that require additional research or follow-up, or to create a monthly report of complaints that were handled.
Each report has several printing options that can be specified before printing the report. An example Report Options window is shown below. This one is for the Permits by Date Issued report.
After setting the options, click Done. The report generates and is displayed in a new window. To change the document's zoom level, click the Magnifying Glass button. To change permit printing options, click the Pencil button. To save a PDF of the printed permit to the main Documents menu, click the Floppy Disk button. To print the permit, click the PDF Document button, which opens the document in a PDF viewer for printing.
