You are probably familiar with the Overlay layers available to add to CSDatum Maps and Permit Manager. Each user has overlays that are unique to their area and overlays that are statewide or nationwide data. The statewide and nationwide data usually comes from a public agency, such as PennDOT or the Unites States Department of Agriculture. See this article for a full explanation of overlays and how to use them.
We recently learned about a new set of aerial images from the United States Department of Agriculture, and we added them to your list of overlays available for use. These aerial images aren't as clear as some others that are out there, but they are clear enough to see buildings, sheds, pools, and similar features. So, if you progress your way through the years of images, you can determine a timeframe for when a certain change occurred.
If you want to try to figure out when the Smiths put their pool in or when a new subdivision broke ground, these aerials may very well suit your need.
To see the new overlays, go to the Overlays menu and search for "image" in the search box. This will shorten the list so that it looks similar to the one below. Once there, click on any of the available imagery to add it to the map.
