An often-requested feature is the ability to change the color of assets on the map based on an attribute of the asset. For example, in a sanitary sewer system, coloring the gravity system a different color than force mains. Another example, using the stormwater system, is to color the BMPs based on ownership. One color for those that are owned or managed by the municipality and a different color for those privately owned.
We recently took the first step toward this ability to change the map colors. You can now color any asset based on its ownership. Future changes will allow you to color assets based on other data fields.
To begin exploring this new feature, start by clicking on any asset icon. Then click the Gear in the lower right-hand corner.
Choose the Custom Style and then Style by Owner.
Create a separate color for each Owner value.
